Identifying Your Blocks

Identifying Your Limiting Blocks

You’ve heard them called so many things: Limiting beliefs, blocks, childhood wounds, trauma. They can manifest in countless ways, as unique as each individual. Some are loud and obvious, but the more insidious ones hide beneath habits, reactions, fears, or patterns we’ve carried for so long that they feel normal.

The first step is simple: Just observe.

Take a week, grab a journal, this handy pdf I made, (or just a notes app), and watch yourself like you’re at a zoo where you’re the main exhibit.

Pay attention to questions like:

  • How do you react to unexpected hiccups?
  • What situations make you feel anxious, defensive, or unseen?
  • What relationships leave you feeling small?
  • What compliments are hard to accept?
  • Where do you abandon yourself to keep the peace?
  • What keeps repeating in your life, despite your efforts to change it?

Our deepest blocks aren’t hidden in dramatic moments, they’re buried so deeply we just get a peak here and there, through everyday emotions, recurring frustrations, and the stories we automatically tell ourselves.

Awareness is where healing begins.
